Deep breath. Seriously, that may be the longest sentence I've ever written. It's cool, I blame the chocolate.
Anyway...
I was reading about Kasey Kahne's new drama on some message boards earlier tonight. I'm sure you've all read about it, but in a nutshell, Kasey tried to enter the driver's motorcoach lot at Homestead and was stopped by a security guard because he didn't have credentials. Kasey then, according to police reports, tried to get in anyway (because he's a driver and doesn't need credentials) and now has been charged with battery. Okay first off, the security guard was sixty-two but even if he wasn't, hands off. Second, no one is important enough not to be checked by security at a huge sporting event. What if some crazed stalker got by security by telling them he was a driver and then broke into Kasey's bus? Kasey would probably be upset. Third, at no point is it okay to put your hands on or in anyway hurt someone else for any reason.
My opinion? Kasey had a hissy fit, thought he was more important than he is and is going to have to pay for it. Literally. Now, because of his I'm-super-important fit, a lawyer with dollar signs in his eyes is going after him. He has no one to blame but himself, in my opinion.
Thoughts?
Now, I really have to go to bed. I mean really. Even if I'm still a little twitch-y from my caffeine overload. Off to bed.
